Major introduction: The automation major is one of the two undergraduate majors in the School of Automation. The related major was first established in 1953. It is one of the earliest universities in the country to establish the automatic control major. The automation major was approved as a specialty major by the Ministry of Education in 2010, and passed the China Engineering Education Professional Certification in 2014. In order to achieve the internationally renowned and domestic first-class level of automation major in 2020, the college has formulated a scientific, reasonable and rigorous training plan, adhering to the principle of outcome-based education (OBE), student-centered, and in accordance with training goals and graduation requirements. Technology development and market demand, based on the ability orientation of engineering attributes of "comprehensive, practical, innovative" and the logical relationship of the sequence of course content that conforms to cognitive laws, a curriculum system is constructed, forming a "thick foundation, wide caliber, strong ability, "High quality" professional features. Among the teachers teaching professional courses, there are 3 Yangtze River Scholar Distinguished Professors and 4 Beijing Famous Teaching Teachers. The teaching teachers actively carry out education and teaching reform and innovation. In recent years, they have won 2 national teaching achievement awards, 3 Beijing teaching achievement awards, and the Chinese Society of Automation There are 2 teaching achievement awards, and 4 undergraduate courses (automatic control theory, intelligent control basics, fluid transmission and control basics, and electrical transmission and control basics) are among the top courses in Beijing. Automation undergraduate graduates can continue to pursue master's or doctoral degrees in six secondary disciplines of the first-level discipline of control science and engineering. This first-level discipline was selected as a "double first-class" construction discipline by the Ministry of Education in 2017. There are only three disciplines in our school Selected as a "double first-class" construction discipline. The School of Automation adheres to the policy of deepening innovative practice and expanding international horizons, and encourages and supports students to grow and progress in scientific and technological innovation activities and external exchanges. While emphasizing the cultivation of solid basic theories, we also strengthen students' subject knowledge competitions and scientific and technological innovation activities, and highlight the cultivation of practical and innovative abilities. The proportion of students participating in various domestic and foreign subject competitions exceeds 60%, and they win an average of nearly 60 provincial and ministerial level awards every year. In recent years, college students have achieved nearly 100 national or international awards in competitions such as "Challenge Cup", "Electronic Design", "Unmanned Vehicles", "UAVs", "Mathematical Modeling" and "Geneva International Exhibition of Inventions". Awards. Graduates of this major are generally engaged in the analysis and design, optimization and integration, development and research, operation and maintenance of automation devices and systems in automation-related fields such as control theory and application, motion control, process control, detection technology, navigation technology and robots. As well as technical management and other work, the employment units are mostly scientific research and design units, government agencies, technology enterprises, manufacturing units and public institutions. Undergraduate graduates have a high employment rate, a high rate of further study, and a high quality of employment.
