Study in China Service Agreement

Last updated: January 2026

This Service Agreement ("Agreement") governs the provision of study-in-China related services by Hanqiao (Shenzhen) Cultural Consulting Co., Ltd. ("HanQiao" or the "Service Provider") to the client (the "Client"). By completing payment or confirming an order on hanqiao.top, the Client confirms that the Client has read, understood, and agreed to be bound by this Agreement.

Article 1 · Purpose

Whereas HanQiao has the qualifications, resources, and ability to provide education consulting, application support, and related services, and the Client wishes to engage HanQiao to provide study-in-China related services under the terms of this Agreement, both parties, based on the principles of equality, voluntariness, and good faith, enter into this Agreement to clarify their respective rights, obligations, and risk allocation. The purpose of this Agreement shall not be construed as creating any additional guarantee, warranty, or outcome commitment beyond what is expressly stated.

Article 2 · Scope of Services

The scope of services shall be the scope selected and confirmed by the Client during the checkout process on hanqiao.top. Specific service details, deliverables, and timelines may be further defined in order disclosures, supplementary documents, or written confirmations. Both parties agree that email, system notifications, and written confirmations constitute valid written records.

For Full Application Services, the purchased scope generally includes advisor-led support from school positioning and document preparation through submission and follow-up within the purchased scope. HanQiao provides process-based execution support rather than an admission, scholarship, or visa guarantee. The following conditions apply:

(1) Definition of service delivery: service delivery is measured by completion of the advisory, preparation, submission, and follow-up work included in the purchased plan for the selected schools or scholarship category, subject to the Client's timely cooperation and third-party requirements.

(2) Client cooperation obligations: the Client must cooperate in a timely manner throughout the process, including but not limited to submitting requested materials within 15 business days of each request, responding to communications within 5 business days, and completing required tests, interviews, statement confirmations, or other required actions by the deadlines specified by HanQiao. Delay or non-cooperation may affect outcomes, timelines, or HanQiao's ability to continue handling the matter.

(3) Declining recommended actions: if the Client declines a recommended submission plan, interview plan, alternative school path, or other required step, the Client bears the resulting delays, missed opportunities, or changes in outcome, and work already completed within the purchased scope may still be deemed delivered.

All service categories purchased on hanqiao.top, including but not limited to Full Application Services, Scholarship Services, and Application Support Services, are billed based on the selected scope and delivered work, not on the outcome of any university, scholarship, or visa decision.

Article 3 · Effectiveness, Term, and Termination

This Agreement becomes effective when the Client completes payment. Related services may begin immediately after payment, and no cooling-off period applies unless required by law. The term continues until all services are fully performed or the parties otherwise terminate the Agreement in writing. Either party wishing to terminate early must provide at least 10 business days' written notice. After termination, except for provisions that expressly survive, such as confidentiality obligations, neither party has further obligations.

Article 4 · Fees and Payment

The total fees are the fees shown to the Client during checkout on hanqiao.top. Because some services may begin immediately after payment, refund requests, service credit, or payment adjustments are limited to the cases expressly stated in Appendix 1 below or otherwise required by applicable law. If the Client fails to pay any amount due on time, HanQiao may charge a late fee at a daily rate of 0.05% and may suspend related service performance. Payment methods include, but are not limited to, bank transfer, credit card, and online payment.

Article 5 · Service Changes and Early Termination

If the Client unilaterally requests a change of service scope or early termination, fees corresponding to completed work, reserved capacity, or work already started remain payable, except where otherwise required by law or expressly stated in an applicable written policy. Any change to service scope must be confirmed in writing by both parties. If the Client breaches obligations under this Agreement, HanQiao may suspend or terminate related services.

Article 6 · Risk Allocation and Third-Party Conduct

The Client understands and agrees that admissions policies, admission decisions, visa reviews, examination results, and university notifications are independently determined by third parties, and HanQiao has no control over such decisions. Such outcomes do not constitute a breach by HanQiao. HanQiao is not liable for direct or indirect loss caused by uncontrollable third-party conduct. The Client bears the risks and costs arising from third-party policy changes, system upgrades, or unforeseeable adjustments.

Article 7 · Limitation of Liability

In any event, HanQiao's total liability for any claim arising out of or related to this Agreement shall not exceed the total amount of service fees actually paid by the Client for the relevant service. This limitation does not apply to damages resulting from HanQiao's willful misconduct or gross negligence.

Article 8 · Refunds and Fee Handling

Refund rules are set out in Appendix 1 below. That appendix has the same legal force and effect as this article and shall be read together with this Agreement.

Article 9 · Alternative Planning and Stagnant Applications

Where an application cannot proceed as originally planned, HanQiao may, where feasible, suggest alternative schools, adjusted timelines, or other planning suggestions. Such support is discretionary planning assistance rather than a guaranteed transfer or admission arrangement. If an application becomes stagnant because materials remain incomplete or the Client fails to complete required actions, and the Client still fails to respond within 15 business days after notice, HanQiao may suspend or close further handling of that matter. Specific procedures are described in Appendices 2 and 3 below.

Article 10 · Confidentiality

HanQiao shall keep the Client's personal and private information, including but not limited to transcripts, passport numbers, and financial information, strictly confidential and shall not disclose it to unrelated third parties except as required by law. Both parties acknowledge that this Agreement, its appendices, and related communications constitute confidential information. This confidentiality obligation survives termination.

Article 11 · Force Majeure

If a force majeure event, including but not limited to epidemics, wars, natural disasters, or policy changes, prevents performance, the affected party must notify the other party in writing within 48 hours and provide supporting evidence. HanQiao is not liable for such non-performance but will reasonably assist the Client in seeking alternatives.

Article 12 · Dispute Resolution

This Agreement is governed by the laws of the People's Republic of China. Any dispute arising out of or related to this Agreement shall first be resolved through negotiation. If negotiation fails, either party may bring a claim before the competent People's Court where HanQiao is located.

Article 13 · Notices

Notices between the parties shall be in writing and delivered to the registered address or email address on file. Delivery through WeChat, WhatsApp, system notification, email, or SMS with a read receipt or other reliable proof of delivery shall be deemed effective delivery.

Article 14 · Entire Agreement and Severability

This Agreement and its appendices constitute the entire agreement between the parties and supersede all prior oral or written communications. If any provision is held invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full force and effect. Each appendix forms an integral part of this Agreement.

Article 15 · Agreement Language

This Agreement is prepared in both Chinese and English. In the event of any inconsistency, the Chinese version prevails. Electronic copies, scanned copies, or system-confirmed copies have the same legal effect as originals.

Appendices

Appendix 1: Refund Policy

Self-Sponsored Programs

No Refund Cases

You will generally not be eligible for a refund if your application falls into any of the following categories:

  1. The applicant has already been admitted by the university.
  2. The application was cancelled for the applicant's personal reasons.
  3. The application was not processed or accepted because of an intent to undertake illegal activities.
  4. The application was not processed or accepted because the applicant provided false, inaccurate, or fraudulent information.
  5. The application was not processed or accepted because required materials were incomplete, missing, or untimely submitted by the applicant.

Limited Review Cases

  1. A payment adjustment may be reviewed only where HanQiao materially failed to deliver the purchased service scope because of its own confirmed operational error.
  2. Admission outcomes, scholarship outcomes, visa decisions, policy changes, or other third-party results do not by themselves create refund rights.
  3. Where an issue is confirmed, HanQiao may offer re-performance, service credit, partial refund, or full refund as appropriate and as required by applicable law.

Refund Timeline

Any approved refund, service credit, or payment adjustment will be processed within 60 calendar days after approval.

Appendix 2: Alternative Planning Policy

  1. HanQiao may suggest alternative schools or application paths where feasible, but this support is discretionary planning assistance rather than a guaranteed switch outcome.
  2. Any alternative plan requires the applicant's written confirmation and continued timely cooperation.
  3. Failure to submit complete materials or perform required actions by the deadline of the newly proposed university will be deemed a forfeiture of that alternative path.
  4. If the new university's application fee or service fee exceeds that of the original institution, the applicant must pay the difference.
  5. Acceptance of an alternative path does not create any additional refund right beyond the applicable written policy.

Appendix 3: Stagnant Application Service Policy

An application may be considered stagnant when required materials are not supplied, required actions are not completed, or a third-party process cannot continue.

  1. HanQiao will remind the applicant to supplement materials or complete required actions before the relevant deadline. Failure to comply before the deadline may be treated as abandonment and may lead to service suspension or closure for that application.
  2. HanQiao may provide a reasonable transition contact period after the deadline to allow possible remediation. If there is still no response to email, text, or phone contact during that period, the application may be closed except in special circumstances.

Appendix 4: Cross-Semester / Academic Year Application Conditions

  1. Only applications that have been accepted or admitted by the university may be eligible for deferral under the university's rules, and each application may generally be deferred only once. If the applicant confirms deferral, HanQiao will notify the university for processing.
  2. HanQiao will reconfirm the applicant's intent one month before the next semester or academic year begins. The applicant must respond in time. Upon clear confirmation, HanQiao will assist with the resubmission steps required by the university.
  3. If the applicant fails to respond to HanQiao's reconfirmation within 15 business days before the next semester begins, the applicant may be deemed to have voluntarily withdrawn and further service handling may stop.
