The BA Digital Media Arts programme combines a suite of modules provided by the Departments of Communication Studies and Computer Science and Software Engineering, and the School of Film and Television Arts to provide students with practical skills in digital media production and enable them to produce content for the growing array of digital media platforms that are such a significant area of our contemporary media experience. This programme aims to equip students with the skills, knowledge and understanding of digital media production, and a critical and theoretical grounding in film, digital media and communication studies contexts. Areas covered include digital film and video production, computer graphics, mobile media platforms and computer games design. With the curriculum delivered in English and drawing on XJTLU’s international education model, graduates will be well equipped in both language, subject-specific skills and critical abilities to go onto work in local, national and international creative media industries or to progress on to further specialist study. NOTE: Students with Chinese nationality can not apply to XJTLU as foreign students, even if they were born outside China. Students with Chinese nationality need to pass the National College Entrance Examination (NCEE), also known as Gaokao(高考), in order to get into a university in China.
