The MSc Artificial Intelligence (AI) programme at the School of AI and Advanced Computing (AIAC) at XJTLU Entrepreneur College (Taicang) is research-focused and provides a strong foundation in essential AI principles. It explores advanced methodologies such as large model techniques and generative AI.
The programme aims to equip students with the knowledge and skills necessary to analyse, design, and implement data science and AI solutions for real-world problems.
The two-year programme consists of 40-credit study modules and a 40-credit dissertation. The curriculum includes intensive programming, core AI concepts, extensive machine learning training, and specialised modules covering ethics, AI research methods, and topics tailored to specific interests taught as optional modules. The programme culminates with a year-long dissertation project, allowing students to develop advanced AI solutions, potentially in collaboration with industry partners.
XJTLU-JITRI joint supervision pathway
This programme also provides an XJTLU-JITRI joint supervision pathway, which combines the expertise of XJTLU with the research institutes and top enterprises of Jiangsu Industrial Technology Research Institute (JITRI). This collaboration aims to promote deeper integration between industry, education and research. Through a unique research training model that combines specialised AI theoretical study, industrial research practice, and dual supervision, the programme seeks to nurture interdisciplinary talents that are innovative, solution-oriented and possess a keen international perspective.
